A large amount of cannabis and cocaine has been seized from a property in Girvan by police.
Last night (Friday, June 11) officers from the Carrick Locality Policing Team raided an address on Henrietta Street in the town.
A quantity of Class A and Class C controlled drugs, believed to be cocaine and cannabis valued at £20,000, were seized from the house along with a three-figure sum of money.
A 30-year-old man has been arrested and will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday, June 14 in connection with the raid.
Sergeant Ben Legge who leads the Carrick Locality Policing Team said: “This operation shows the commitment of local officers to deal with community concerns about drug dealing.
"I would urge anyone who has information about those dealing in drugs in the Carrick section or in South Ayrshire generally to contact us on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
