The owners of a young kitten who went missing in Saltcoats say they are "sad" and are pleading for neighbours to search their gardens and check their huts.

Lucy the kitten is mostly white with ginger tabby patches on her head and her back. She is wearing a pink collar and has a tag with her address and family phone number. She is very nervous and is only young so does not respond to her name.

She went missing last night (Thursday, June 10) from Adams Avenue after the owners believed she escaped out an open window and could be anywhere in the top-end of Saltcoats. This is the first time little Lucy has been outside.

Owner Adam Paterson said: "She’s still young and doesn't respond to her name well yet. She is very nervous. There are two sad kids Hannah and Harry who miss and love her and hope she’s safe."

If you have seen Lucy at all, please call Adam on 07707338304.
