Members of the Three Towns Clean-up Crew completed a mammoth pick over the weekend of May 28 as they prepared for a new adventure.
The team of eight removed 14 bags of general litter and three bags of recyclables. As well as this, they came across two damaged chairs and three traffic cones from the area below the Sorbie Road bridge, near Ardrossan Academy.
Their next project will be to help with the Keep Scotland Beautiful campaign, MyBeachYourBeach, which has included Ardrossan South Beach for the first time. The group will be planning a weekly visit to tackle the litter and hopefully help with the improvement of the water quality.
Posters are attached to the bins along the promenade. You can visit the group on Facebook to find out more and help out.
