A WOMAN has been left disgusted following incessant dog fouling near her home in Auchinleck.

The resident of Hillside Crescent says she has tried since 2019 to highlight the dog mess that is being left in her neighbour’s garden – creating a sight and smell that makes her feel sick.

She said: “I’ve been in touch with the landlord countless times asking him to ask her [the neighbour] to clean the garden on a daily basis which isn’t getting done.

“He keeps saying, I’ll speak to her so whether he’s not phoning her or she’s not listening to him, I don’t know.

“I have to pass by that on daily basis because the footpath is shared... it makes me feel sick looking at it and smelling it.

“I shouldn’t be expected to live beside it.”

A council spokesperson said: “East Ayrshire Council can confirm that the Environmental Health Service has provided advice to the complainer regarding civil action available to her to address the issue.

“The last complaint was in February 2021 at which time the landlord was made aware of the problem for him to take action to resolve this.

“The Anti-Social Behaviour team has provided advice and support to our tenant.”
