A CRASH on the M74 has been causing delays for drivers during rush hour.
The crash, which involved a lorry, took place at 1.30pm this afternoon.
Police have confirmed that as a result of the crash, the northbound carriageway and lane three of the southbound carriageway had been closed due to uplift of the vehicle.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.30pm on Wednesday, 12 May, we received a report of a one-vehicle crash involving a lorry on the M74 northbound near to junction three.
“Emergency services were in attendance and uplift of the vehicle is being arranged. The northbound carriageway and lane three of the southbound carriageway are both closed. Local diversions are in place."
