The Ayr Ark will be hosting their first outdoor activities of the year as restrictions ease.

The group is hosting an outdoor games session at the Ayr Ark on Thursday, April 15 for young people aged 11-18 years.

There will be two sessions throughout the day with 14 young people able to take part in each. The first takes place between 12pm-2pm, while the second starts at 2.30pm and ends at 4.30pm.

The group will focus on team building exercises and encouraging young people to get involved and make new friends.

All activities will adhere to current government guidance.

Paige Hill, senior youth project worker said: “The aim of this is to reach out to young people, even if they don’t want to get involved in the games.

“One of the things we’ve found is that some younger people have drifted from a lot of their friends because of this pandemic, so it’s about bringing them back together with people their age.”
