A consultation will be held to discuss the proposed planning application for a new Lidl store on Heathfield Road, Ayr.

We told you last month how the supermarket wanted to build a new store, which would create around 40 new jobs in the town, and would add to the Lidl store already situated in Ayr.

Now the public are invited to attend the consultation, which will take place between 3pm-7pm on Wednesday, April 14. Lidl’s dedicated property team will outline the supermarkets plans for a new store, and answer any questions from the community.

Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Gordon Rafferty, said:“We are looking forward to commencing our virtual community consultation on April 14 and getting

feedback on our proposals and understanding the local needs from the residents of Ayr. This event marks the start of our engagement with the community and will be ongoing as we progress our application..”
