The Barony Campus students got their rolling pins and aprons out this week as they competed to be ‘Star Baker’ as part of the languages department’s fun-packed baking challenge.
And younger pupils also had a fantastic week from home - taking part in remote Red Nose Day activities and making sure they kept up to speed with schoolwork despite not being in the classroom.
At Lochnorris PS, the P1 and P2T classes returned to home learning for the week due to positive COVID-19 cases in the classes. The children embraced the change of scene and have been working hard at home, doing drawings and completing activity sheets which they were eager to show off.
At Robert Burns Academy, the Modern Languages Department Baking Challenge got well underway.
The Modern Languages Department recently set BGE pupils a baking challenge. They had to follow a French recipe to create “les crêpes” or a “un gateaux au yaourt”.
There were lots of fabulous entries, but the five ‘Star Bakers’ who came out on top were Katyann, Aimee, Katie, Paige and Lee.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their treats after taking on the challenge and working up an appetite in the process. Well done to all.
Keep up to date with news from the Campus via the school app for parents, Twitter and Facebook where schools share daily stories and pictures of the children’s work.
