Students at The Barony Campus have powered on through another week of remote learning.

At Lochnorris PS, children in the Supported Learning Centre have been completing many fun tasks using QR codes.

They have really enjoyed being able to work with Miss Stobbs while at home by watching short video clips and completing follow up activities with parents.

It was also Children’s Mental Health Week and the school’s theme was “Express Yourself”. The HT’s challenge was to “Express Yourself” in song, dance or any other way. The children have also been participating in mindfulness and mental wellbeing activities including yoga and meditation.

The school would like to thank their friends at Cumnock Rugby Club for keeping pupils active with some fun and interesting home rugby skills to mark Fitness Thursday.

Friday, February 5, saw the school come together to watch talented children and staff in the first Lochnorris Burns Supper.

At Robert Burns Academy, S1 and S2 pupils have demonstrated their creativity and resourcefulness by producing some fantastic artwork during lockdown.

Using whichever materials they had at hand, pupils celebrated Burns Night with drawings, paintings and prints honouring the school’s namesake.

For Holocaust Memorial Day, S2 drew portraits of artists, musicians and writers who suffered under the Nazis.
