A MAN has been arrested in connection with two alleged break-ins at a Cumnock shop.
The first incident happened in the early hours of Monday morning, when vandals took the door of its hinges at the Shimmer & Shine store on Ayr road.
The second happened the following morning when a man was caught on CCTV inside the closed premises.
The store previously made a plea on its facebook page to return a stolen picture.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with two reported break-ins to a shop on Ayr Road in Cumnock.
“The first incident happened in the early hours of Monday, 15 February and the second in the early hours of Tuesday, 16 February.
“He is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 17 February, 2021".
