Crossriggs Veterinary Clinic has been nominated for eight awards at the Petplan Veterinary Awards 2021.

The nominations include Vet of the Year, Practice of the Year and Nurse of the Year.

The family-owned Cumnock vets were nominated by their clients for a variety of different categories.

Out-of-hours services at the clinic have recently changed, with cover now being provided by Vets Now in Kilmarnock, but they are still open to see pets.

Practice Manager, Joanna Senior said that the nominations feel extra special because it was their clients that decided to nominate them.

She said: “For us, it’s really lovely to get these nominations, when clients have gone to the effort to nominate us. Hopefully that shows that people appreciate us.

“I think does reflect the fact that we are a really close team, and I think it’s what clients really like about the practice. We really know our clients, so we’re delighted and it’s a lovely because it has been a very hard year”.

Crossriggs is the only practice in Cumnock, and has been nominated for similar awards in the past. Unfortunately, they haven’t gone on to win, but it doesn’t stop them from being grateful.

Joanna said: “These nominations are very well received and we know how much hard work goes in to getting them.

“We do appreciate it so much because we have such lovely clients and we are really lucky that is the case.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard and we have radically changed the way we work, so I am delighted for them as well.”
