A woman has been jailed for 18 months after admitting to theft and bank card fraud.
Kerry Tomlin, 37, committed the crimes in Ayr and Prestwick in March and April 2020, 10 years after she appeared on the BBC documentary The Scheme.
Tomlin stole a handbag which included bank cards and a quantity of money in Briarhill Court, Prestwick.
She then used a card owned by Susana Spiers at a Sainsbury’s to buy £30 worth of goods by committing fraud.
Tomlin finally admitted breaking into a house on Elba Street, Ayr, and stole “handbags, purses cosmetics and other items.”
She pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to theft, fraud, housebreaking while on bail from Ayr Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Paul Crozier said: “A custodial sentence is the only appropriate disposal due to the nature of the offence.”
