A vacant site in Hayhill, near Sinclairston is set for 21 new homes as East Ayrshire Council approves a planning application for the area.
The plans, submitted by Ayr-based architecture firm LMA Architects on behalf of Drongan business Hayhill Developments, will see the plot of land in the East Ayrshire settlement completely transformed.
There are currently only 34 houses in the village, so this development will swell the local population significantly.
The proposed properties will be a mix of detached, semi-detached, bungalow, and semi-detached bungalow, with the bungalows being positioned to face the main road B7046, mirroring the bungalows already there on the other side.
Each property will have space for the parking of two cars and a seperate access road will run through the development. Additional visitor parking spaces will be provided.
The houses will be designed with the current properties in the area in mind, external materials will match those of the existing buildings.
Each property will also benefit from in excess of 100m2 private garden space.
Work will also be undertaken to improve the existing children’s playpark.
