CELTIC Connections has unveiled the first acts confirmed for the festival next year.
Singer-songwriters Eddi Reader and Jose Gonzalez are among those to perform at the international festival celebrating Scotland’s worldwide musical influence.

Despite vaccine hopes, performances will be broadcast online as the festival goes digital-only for the first time, due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions.

Bands and soloists have been recording their sets. with many homegrown talents taking to Glasgow’s well-known venues left empty by social distancing measures.
Folk trio Project Smok took to the stage in St Lukes in the Barras to record their performance and singer-songwriter James Grant filmed his in City Halls in the Merchant City.

Donald Shaw, creative producer for Celtic Connections, said: “Thank you to all of the musicians who have contributed both at home and abroad, it has been brilliant to see them all get behind the concept and support our vision. We can’t wait to bring all of this great music into people’s homes this January.”
Early bird tickets are already on sale for the festival, which runs nightly from Friday, January 15 to Tuesday, February 2.
