The rate of coronavirus cases have fallen dramatically across Largs and the surrounding area over the last recorded week.

Between November 21 and 27, Largs North recorded between one and four cases, a rate of between 75 and 99 per 100,000.

This is a reduction on the week prior when the rate was over 100 per 100,000 of the population and six cases were recorded.

The trend has also continued in Largs Central and Cumbrae, where the case rate has fallen to between 30 and 49, down from over 100 the week previous.

Largs South has also seen a similar decrease, with a rate of between 15 and 29 per 100,00 between November 21 and 27.

This is down from between 75 and 99 the week earlier, which was also a decrease on the week before when the rate was over 100.

Skelmorlie and the surround rural area has seen a slight decrease in its case rate, whilst the rate in West Kilbride and Seamill has stayed constant from the previous week.

No cases have been confirmed in Fairlie and the surrounding rural community in the last week, giving the area a case rate of less than 15 per 100,000 of the population.

Cases are down slightly across North Ayrshire, with 167 confirmed between November 21 and 27, compared to 169 a week earlier.

This gives a case rate of 123.9 cases per 100,000 of the population, compared to 125 between November 14 and 20.
