There are delays along the A76 near New Cumnock this morning after a collision on the road earlier today.
The crash occurred this morning around 6.20am near to Meikle Creoch Farm. The police have said that a Vauxhall Corsa crashed, causing damage a telephone pole.
The driver has not sustained any serious injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.20am on Wednesday, 25 November, officers received a report of a crash near to Meikle Creoch Farm, in the New Cumnock area. The crash involved a Vauxhall Corsa and resulted in damage to a telephone pole. There are no reported serious injuries and BT has been contacted to check the status of the telephone cables.”
Traffic Scotland reported the incident this morning as affecting traffic flows between New Cumnock Primary School and the railway station just after 8am this morning.
Traffic was slow in both directions following the incident, but Traffic Scotland reported that just before 9am the jams had begun to clear.
