A FILM showcasing the careers of three of Scotland’s finest football brains, Bill Shankly, Jock Stein, and Sir Matt Busby will be screened in cinemas from this Sunday (November 1).

The film is about how the three men, who grew up less than 30 miles from one another, and managed Liverpool, Celtic, and Manchester United respectively, grew up to become lifelong friends and the most influential men in football history.

It’s the work of Jonny Owen and is based on a book by Owen and Leo Moynihan. The Oscar and Bafta-winning production team behind the film were also responsible for the documentary on Diego Maradona, which was released last year.

It will be screening at Kilmarnock Odeon this Sunday at 3.30pm and 6.30pm and will screen once more on Monday, November 2 at 6.30pm.
