Two male youths, aged 12 and 15, are being investigated for two acts of vandalism which occurred in New Cumnock on Thursday (October 15).
Residents reported an act of vandalism at the bus shelter near Nith Bridge in New Cumnock in the early hours of Thursday morning, with the glass at the bus shelter left completely smashed.
A further incident was flagged up where vandals were reported to have 'trashed' New Cumnock Outdoor Swimming Pool on the same night.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two male youths aged 12 and 15 years were traced and will be reported to the Scottish Childrens Reporter Administration in connection with both incidents."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue service spokesperson said: "We were called to New Cumnock Outdoor Swimming Pool at 1am on Thursday, October 15 but this was a false alarm."
