PASSENGERS at Glasgow Central are being held up by a signalling error.

ScotRail has confirmed that, due to a fault with signalling in Killwinning, trains would be delayed.

Network Rail Scotland tweeted: "Our response staff are on their way, with further signalling and telecoms staff being sent to the site and to our West of Scotland signalling centre too.

"Sorry if you're affected by this disruption tonight."

Services from Glasgow to Largs and Ardrossan are suspended until further notice.

Glasgow to Ayr service will run as the signalling system has been overridden by Network Rail but delays may be experienced in the affected area.
