Mauchline Community Groups were out in full force over the weekend on a large-scale litter pick.
More than 20 volunteers turned out on Saturday, September 12 to comb the streets of Mauchline to rid it of litter for the Autumn Litter Pick as part of the ‘Great British September Clean’ and ‘Clean Up Scotland.’
The group worked tirelessly and their efforts resulted in over 50 black bin bags of litter collected, an amazing effort.
A spokesperson for the community council said: “Many thanks to the 20-plus volunteers who attended the Mauchline Community Group’s Autumn Litter Pick.
“Over 50 bags of rubbish removed from the streets and surrounding verges. Well done to all involved.
“Also thanks to ‘Crafty Coffee’ for the catering.”
