A cargo plane sporting a face mask has stopped over in Prestwick.
Cargolux's LX-VCF Boeing 747 aircraft arrived in Ayrshire today from Los Angeles and left for Luxembourg after its 90 minute stopover.
The aircraft has special livery reflecting these uncertain times and includes the words 'not without my mask' painted underneath the carrier's name.
Cargolux said the livery reflects the 'airline’s commitment to the fight against COVID-19.'
The mask itself is blue and stretches across the aircraft’s nose with the straps heading back to the fuselage.
The plane can be loaded through the nose, so now looks as though it is lifting its mask up to accept cargo.
Back in February, the airline made a donation of 75,000 face masks and 44,000 sanitary wipes to Zhengzhou in China as a mark of support for the airline’s partners in the area.
In Scotland, people must by law wear a face covering in shops, on public transport and public transport premises such as railway and bus stations and airports, and in certain other indoor public places such as shops, libraries and places of worship.
