The Co-op in Dalmellington is rewarding local heroes with a special prize each month, starting with a £10 Co-op gift card to use in store for one lucky shopper.
Member Pioneers for the Dalmellington store are appealing for anyone in the Doon Valley who locals think has gone above and beyond in recent months to help others.
Locals are encouraged to contact Gaela Hall, Member Pioneer, who will display the person’s name and the personalised shout-out in the shop window.
On the last day of the month, names will then be pulled out a hat and one lucky winner will be given a £10 gift card.
Gaela said: “We kept thanking people during lockdown for their good deeds but people do good things all the time. It was a time when the whole world took a breath and realised what was going on around them. We’ve not had that before so I’m carrying it on.”
