Whether it's been a blow-out meal or a liquid lunch, we've all been taking advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout August.

Over the last four weeks, locals from Sorn to Stevenston have been enjoying the UK Government scheme which aims to give a much-needed boost to the hospitality industry and get punters back in the door of their favourite bars, restaurants and cafés.

The deal comes to an end on Monday, August 31, meaning diners will no longer be able to get half price food and drink (up to £10) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

However some Ayrshire restaurants have decided to continue the Eat Out to Help Out scheme throughout September, meaning you can still get a fantastic discount on your mid-week meal.

We've put together a list of venues continuing the offer so you know exactly where to head.

If your restaurant is extending the Eat Out to Help Out deal and is not on our list, get in touch at fionnuala.boyle@newsquest.co.uk and we'll share the news with our readers!

Commenting on the extension of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, Robert Kyle, Rad Hotel Group’s Managing Director which owns restaurants including The Carlton Hotel in Prestwick and The Royal Hotel in Cumnock, said that it has been an overwhelming success.

He hopes that the extension will allow their venues to retain as many jobs as possible.

Robert said: “The government scheme and our customers' continued loyalty and support has allowed us to open and retain as many of our amazing and supportive team members as possible. Therefore, the decision to extend the scheme is an easy one.

“The hospitality sector remains fragile, however, the success of this scheme has protected the local economy and with this extension we are hoping this is replicated throughout September.

“We have seen customers old and new returning to our venues and by offering this a little longer we hope to reward their continued support and give back."

We'd recommend checking directly with the venues for full terms and conditions as offers may vary by day and availability.
