A STEVENSTON youngster is among nine North Ayrshire swimmers celebrating selection for Scottish Swimming’s national talent programmes.
11-year-old Caelin Chan was selected alongside Lewis Gibson, 12, from Kilwinning and Dalry’s Kate Stuart, 11, and Fraser Cowie, 12, for the District Regional Programme (DRP).
Despite being forced out of the water since March because of the COVID-19 pandemic it’s a record year for North Ayrshire Amateur Swimming Club.
DRP is administered by West District on behalf of Scottish Swimming and is the first step on the long ladder of representative swimming.
