AN 11-year-old cake maker from Kilwinning is fast becoming an entrepreneur under lockdown after turning her talents to t-shirt design.

Besides helping her mum with her baking skills to establish Claire’s Cakes, Amy Evans has now turned her hand to manufacturing designer t-shirts.

Her latest efforts went down a treat with her mum, brother Matthew and cousins, aunt, uncle and grandfather when they recently visited Pease Bay Caravan Park, near Dunbar, wearing her different designed t-shirts.

The management at the park were also impressed when the extended family were photographed at the beach wearing Amy’s Pease Bay-shirts.

Amy hand tie-dyed each shirt and stencilled on the words.

She said: “We love going to Pease Bay with our cousins. As this was our fourth visit I wanted to do something special so that we could remember this holiday in the years to come.

“I enjoy art and coming up with new ideas. Helping my mum bake birthday cakes lets me specialise in designing the trinkets that go on the top.”
