A man walking a husky was reported for an assault on a 46-year-old woman in Irvine town centre.
Police were phoned following a disturbance at around 6pm yesterday [Tuesday, August 11] in Irvine Cross and Bank Street.
Irvine police confirmed they were inquiring into an assault on a woman - with the suspect described only as walking a 'Husky-type dog'.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We did recieve a call to this location reporting a disturbance ongoing in the street.
"A report was taken regards a 46-year-old female having been assaulted by a male only descibed as walking a 'Husky' type dog.
"No injuries were reported and if anyone can assist with information to trace the suspect contact 101 quoting Incident No 2943 of 11/08/20.
"Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
