A Three Towns beauty spot has been flooded after a stream burst its banks during today's downpour.

Floodwater poured out of Stanley Burn across The Plantation, leaving it awash and impassable.

Sharon Stirling captured the devastation on video.

The Met Office released a yellow weather warning for rain this morning, in place until midnight.

Bus and train services could be impacted with journey times taking longer, and CalMac warned of cancellations to the ferry service.

Motorists have been advised to be careful on roads.
