North Ayrshire's former MP has been given a seat in the House of Lords.
Kathryn Clark, better known as Katy, served as the Labour MP for North Ayrshire and Arran between 2005 and 2015
One of the more left-wing members of Labour's 2005 intake, she was a member of the Socialist Campaign Group and the Scottish Labour Party Campaign for Socialism during her time in the House of Commons.
Katy Clark represented the constituency for 10 years before losing her seat in 2015 to current SNP MP Patricia Gibson.
The other 36 given a Peerage include former Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s brother Jo Johnson MP and his friend Russian media mogul Evgeny Lebedev.
In addition to the 36 peerages announced on Friday, Philip May, husband of former prime minister Theresa May, is set to recieve a knighthood.
