Dalry Parish Boundary Trust recently provided funding which enabled Kilbirnie Golf Club to buy a potentially life saving defibrillator.

After a senior member of Kilbirnie Place Golf Club suffered a heart attack while out on the course, the club realised it was missing one potentially vital piece of equipment.

Two of the Kilbirnie Place Golf Club representatives, Ian McLean and Lee McBurnie, then applied for funding to the Dalry Parish Boundary Trust, which manages the community benefit fund for the Millour Hill Community Wind Farms, on behalf of Community Windpower.

Diane Wood, community benefits director at Community Windpower, which owns and operates the Millour Hill and Dalry Community Wind Farms, said: “We’re really pleased to see how the community benefit fund is being used to help local people.

“We know just how much the fund benefits people, charities, schools and other organisations in North Ayrshire, and this funding can be literally lifesaving.”
