Cecilia Kane, 59, from Ardrossan recently celebrated 40 years continuous service with Saltcoats Group Practice Doctors Surgery.
Cecilia has worked as receptionist at the surgery since 1980 and is loved by many in the community.
Cecilia’s sister Anita said: “I am just so proud of my sister, she is fantastic at her job and she absolutely loves it.
“People in the community are always speaking so highly of her when you bump into them in the street.
“Cecilia doesn’t normally like having the spotlight shining on her, but we wanted to show her how proud we are.
“We surprised her with a balloon and sash and she was so shocked. All her co-workers even did the slosh when she came in to work.
“The whole family are very proud of her and she really is a great sister.”
