Libraries are set to resume service to the public next week.
As part of the easing of lockdown measures and the move into phase 3, libraries are able to reopen, but those in East Ayrshire will be doing so with a much adapted service.
The Dick Institute will be operating a pre-booked reserve and collect service only. They will be taking bookings from today over the phone and online for opening on Tuesday, July 21. Auchinleck, Galston and Stewarton libraries will be doing the same, just slightly later. They will be taking bookings from Friday, July 24 and will open on Tuesday, July 28.
Customers will be unable to browse the shelves and will be refused entry unless they have a booking.
The mobile libraries will be on the move as well.
