POLICE are appealing for help to trace a man reported missing in Troon. 

Robert Rennie was last seen leaving his address in Welbeck Crescent around 10.30am on Thursday, July 9 where he stated that he was intending on travelling to Glasgow.

The 48-year-old, has not been in contact with his family since and there are growing concerns for his welfare.

Robert is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt, dark denim jeans, navy coloured trainers and carrying a brown satchel.

Police Inspector William Campbell, Response Policing at Ayr, added: “Enquires are ongoing to trace Robert to ensure he is safe and well”.

“The last sighting of Robert was around 1.25pm on Thursday, July 9 2020 where he was seen leaving Glasgow Central Railway station walking in the direction of Hope Street”.

“If anyone has any information about his whereabouts or if Robert is reading this then please get in touch as soon as possible”.

"Anyone who may have seen Robert since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2033 of July 11 2020."
