A woman from Cumnock has raised almost £700 for a mental health charity after ‘braving the shave’ and trimming off all her locks.
Gillian Patrick, who works as a member pioneer at Co-op Funeralcare on Glaisnock Street, shaved her head to increase awareness of mental health issues and to raise money for the Scottish Association of Mental Health (SAMH).
Gillian smashed her target of £200 and to date has raised £680 for the charity.
It’s not the first time she’s raised money for the charity either.
Back in June she participated in a ‘Stepping out for SAMH’, a 300,000 step challenge.
She has also been busy with other volunteers making face masks.
