A SUPPORTER of Ayrshire Hospice has helped raise funds for the charity, after their Shining Star Walk was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Iain McCrae has raised £220 by walking 13 miles on his own during lockdown.

He was set to take part in the charity’s flagship Ayr event.

Instead, Iain was determined to help the charity in whatever way he could.

Iain said “I wanted to still walk and raise funds so I walked by myself during a morning. Thanks to everyone who kindly supported me.”

Ron Swanson, Assistant Fundraising Manager at the Ayrshire Hospice said “We’re very grateful to Iain and supporters like him who have literally gone the extra mile to raise funds in aid of our charity at this challenging time.”
