Police have been alerted to three drone sightings near Prestwick Airport in the past four days.
Police Scotland’s Ayrshire division said the first incident was reported at about 12.10pm on Thursday, followed by another at about 4.30pm on Saturday and a further incident at about 3.10pm the following day.
Officers have issued a warning to drone operators reminding them of laws governing flying the devices, particularly around airports.
Regulations stipulate drones must be kept well away from aircraft, airports and airfields, and never be flown in an airport’s flight restriction zone.
People who own or fly drones must register with the Civil Aviation Authority before any flights are made.

Inspector Derek McWhinnie, of border policing west, said: “We support the safe and legal use of small unmanned aircraft. However, drone pilots are reminded they must operate within the law and guidelines set out by the Civil Aviation Authority and National Air Traffic Services.”
He added: “It is the responsibility of the pilot to make themselves aware of the appropriate legislation and be aware of the importance of responsible flying, particularly around airports, restricted airspace and congested areas.
“If anyone has any questions about how and where to fly a drone safely, please check with the Civil Aviation Authority or Drone Safe website.”
