East Ayrshire Police officers have delivered 100 chocolate eggs to Crosshouse Hospital as a thank you for their work combatting coronavirus.

Sergeant Craig Wallace, of the Irvine Valley Team, said “We took the opportunity while at Crosshouse Hospital to make a special Easter delivery for those working flat out to beat the virus.

“It has been inspirational to see our NHS colleagues, those in the care sector, other key roles and the community in general come together at this difficult time.

“It is important we stick together, look after each other and support those who may be more vulnerable.

“The message is clear – stay home, stay safe, protect the NHS, and save lives.”
