At the weekend most of us are usually getting ready to go out for a night of freedom, meet up with friends or even just going out to socialise with the family.
However this weekend most of us won't be heading very far, other than changing what room we are sitting in for a change of scenery every now and then.
Some of us enjoy a Saturday morning trip to Saltcoats for a little bit of shopping in our local stores, whilst breathing in the fresh sea air.
But the town will be looking rather deserted, as the locals will be avoiding their weekly visit.
Most shops have closed their doors to the public, however some remain open, allowing people to pick up what they need during the COVID-19 crisis.
Home and Hardware in Saltcoats have stayed open allowing one person in at a time, to foresee the social distancing rule.
Even during lockdown, it is still advised that you exercise at least once a day, whether that is going a jog, cycle or walk.
Ardrossan beach has seen a few people out getting their exercise for the day.
People have been seen queueing outside the Ardrossan pharmacy, waiting to pick up prescriptions.
The town is normally full of shoppers at the weekend, but due to the lockdown meausures put in place, the town appears almost sinister.
