AN AYR bar was targetted by thieves less than an hour after PM Boris Johnson announced a coronavirus lockdown.
Owners at Smiths Bar have been left reeling after two crooks broke into the closed premises around 9.15pm on Monday, March 23.
The pair were caught on CCTV cameras at the town centre venue.
Smiths Bar shared images of thieves inside the bar on social media.
A post read: "Warning to fellow premises in Ayr.
"Smiths Bar was broken into last night around 9.15pm
"Hopefully the police catch the 2 low life scum-bags below
"Please keep checking your premises are secure & safe at this difficult time."
A spokesperon for Police Scotland told the Advertiser: "Police received a report at around 9.05am on Tuesday, March 24 of a overnight break-in at a premises on Dalblair Road. Enquiries are ongoing."
