NETHERTHIRD youngsters were given a the chance to help put out fires and keep their community safe as they were paid a special visit by a dedicated fire crew.
The playground was alive with excitement as a fire appliance pulled into the school, and the children got to meet some local heroes - and even spray the hose.
The P1 pupils of Netherthird Primary school enjoyed a presentation from firefighters and a chance to sit in the fire engine. The visit was all part of the People Who Help us context for learning.
