A PRIMARY school issued a warning to parents after a suspected stranger in a white van approached a child.
New Cumnock Primary reported the incident to police last Thursday, February 6 and urged parents to advise their children.
The school placed a ‘Stranger Danger’ notice on their website to alert parents after the white van was spotted driving around New Cumnock.
The school posted: “It has come to our attention that a white van driving about New Cumnock has approached a child after school today.
“This information has been given to Police Scotland. Can we please ask that you have a Stranger Danger chat with your children.”
Police attended the school, but officers were unable to establish any criminality.
