PUPILS at Cumnock Academy have been using their artistic skills to tackle climate change.

The youngsters have been creating stunning pieces of art while working on a project about endangered species.

They used different textures and surfaces to reflect different animals in the jungle who need our protection.

They wanted to raise awareness of the different breeds and impact that climate change has on them.

Pupils also showed the rising water levels and amount of litter being tossed into the sea.

The dramatic and interesting piece of art aimed to remind staff, students, and the public to be more active in saving the planet.

Teachers at the school said:”This is the incredible piece of artwork S4 have created for a competition on endangered species.

“The image changes as you move position, creating a clever optical illusion.

“What an achievement!”
