Mauchline Burns Club held their annual celebration of the National Bard last week.
Members gathered for their Burns Supper in the town’s Kilmarnock Supporters Club on Saturday, January 25 with the Immortal Memory given by club secretary Robert Somerville and Toast to the Lasses by “Buller” Reid.
Ian Lyell raised more than £300 for the appeal for work to the Highland Mary Monument in Failford.
Wreaths were laid at the National Burns Memorial on Sunday, January 26, joined by the MP, MSP, local councillors, community council, CARS project, WW Burns Federation and Masonic Lodges. Tea and entertainment followed at National Burns Memorial Homes where Club President Alex Crawford handed over a cheque for £200.
