GREAT Dane Max was abandoned at a police station and is now is desperate to find his forever home.

The nine-year-old black and tan dog is very fit and active so would love someone to give him big long walks.

He sits and offers a paw upon request and is a gentleman taking treats.

Now Max is at the Islay Dog Rescue Centre but hopes to find someone to love soon.

Charity workers said: “On the side of caution we would not rehome him with resident or visiting children under the age of 12 - despite the fact he has never put a paw wrong during the months he has been here.”
