PROPOSALS for on-street parking in Mauchline have been shelved but will not be confirmed until next month.
East Ayrshire Council previously published papers which have since been removed but the decision will be given the green light on February, 26.
The Chronicle understands that the cabinet paper on the Transformational Service Review of Parking, will not be discussed by EAC today, but instead will be re-introduced at Cabinet on February, 26. It comes after the wider strategy to enforce parking across East Ayrshire with proposals including in Kilmarnock, Galston and Stewarton.
A spokesperson for EAC said yesterday: “The cabinet paper on the Transformational Service Review of Parking – outcome of consultation and future proposals – will not be discussed at cabinet tomorrow. It has been withdrawn from tomorrow’s meeting agenda. The paper as it stands will be re-presented at Cabinet on February 26, as part of the Council’s budget setting exercise to give members an opportunity to consider the proposals alongside other budget proposals.”
