COLMONELL primary were paid a special visit this week by Jeane Freeman MSP who congratulated the winner of a festive drawing competition.
The MSP for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley invited local primary schools to design her official 2019 Christmas card. This week Ms Freeman visited the lucky winner at Colmonell Primary School, who sent in an excellent drawing of a penguin. The runner up places which are also featured on the card were from Barrhill and Girvan Primary Schools.
A selection of the designs which were close contenders will be displayed in Ms Freeman’s Constituency Office window in Cumnock throughout December.
After visiting the winning primaries, Jeane Freeman said: “I was so impressed by the many excellent drawings and designs we received. I think I have a lovely Christmas card this year and in the coming years as we involve more local schools I’m looking forward to sending out more lovely cards across Carr ick, Cumnock and Doon Valley.”
