WOULD-BE young footballers from across South Ayrshire are developing their skills from a very early age thanks to the Ayr United

Football

Academy.

The group organise classes for everyone from those aged three and upwards to primary school youngsters.

Recently our photographer dropped in on a mini-kickers class which is held every Friday, from 6pm until 7pm in Prestwick Academy.

The Mini Kickers programme is designed to be a fun, social and enjoyable introduction to football.

While learning and honing skills on the ball, they will also be improving and developing other physical skills such as balance, spatial awareness, flexibility and 29 NEWS www.cumnockchronicle.com

Wednesday January 1, 2020 Pre-school kids start their football journey early in Prestwick coordination. The children will also benefit socially as they play fun games with their friends and interact with our experienced, qualified coaches.

Other mini-kickers classes are held in the Citadel Leisure Centre on Mondays, from 3.30pm-4.30pm, Mossblown Activity Centre on Wednesdays, from 4pm-5pm, Dundonald Activity Centre on Thursdays, from 4pm until 5pm and Muirhead Activity Centre on Fridays, from 1pm until 2pm.

Pro Soccer in Ayr hosts another class on Saturdays, from 10am-11am. Primary One to Three youngsters can take part in classes Muirhead Activity Centre, Mossblown Activity Centre, Dundonald Activity Centre, Belmont Academy and Pro Soccer.
