A SCHOOLGIRL is using her artistic skills to save lives.
Ava Brizell, Primary 6, from Forehill Primary School, has won the annual Road Safety calendar competition for her artwork that raises awareness for safety on our streets.
She has now been recognised by the competition which was run by an East Ayrshire traffic group who maintain Ayrshire roads.
The winning design was selected from hundreds of entries from schools across South Ayrshire. The competition was organised by Ayrshire Roads Alliance’s Road Safety Team in partnership with Junior Road Safety Officers in each school, helping to spread the important road safety campaign message, “Step up for safer streets”, to raise public awareness and act as the driver for positive change on the roads.
