AYRSHIRE College students have collected and dropped off an incredible amount of food for St Matthew’s Foodbank this Christmas.

As part of an ongoing Social Science department project, classes are regularly tasked with gathering food and toiletries to donate to the food bank.

This year’s students have exceeded all expectations for the festive drop off , generously contributing the biggest donation the department has ever seen at this time of year. A ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ organised by student Suzanne Brown helped to bring in plenty of donations.

Students dropped the bags off to overwhelmed food bank volunteers at St. Matthew’s Church on Tuesday, December 17.
