SANQUHAR paid tribute to the war dead this Remembrance Sunday.
They held a special parade and wreath laying at Sanquhar War Memorial.
A large crowd turned out after a short service.
Dumfriesshire Deputy Lord Lieuterant Lady Elieen Duncan was first to lay a wreath and was soon joined by others including the Royal Burgh of Sanquhar Council.
Dumfries and Galloway Council Mr Jim Dempster Sanquhar Riding of the Marches, Police Scotland Cheif Superintendant Linda Jones, Dumfries V Dividson the Scottish Fire Rescue Srvice Sanquhar Community Fire, and Rescue Service Andy Williamson Piper Upper Nithsdale Youth Pipe Band, and Sanquhar Silver Band all attended the event.
