RESIDENTS from Cumnock and Doon Valley flocked to an East Ayrshire park to take part in a parkrun.
Dean Castle Country Park hosted the popular weekly event that saw more than 140 people turn up.
Punters ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 42 were first timers and 50 recorded new Personal Bests.
The female record is held by Jennifer Wetton who recorded a time of 20:35 on October 5, 2019.
The male record is held by Ross Harvey who recorded a time of 17:13 on November 9, 2019.
Representatives of 14 different clubs took part.
The exciting event was made possible by 20 selfless volunteers.
Organisers said: “A huge thank you to all the volunteers this morning in a very cold but dry morning. “Parkrun would not be possible without volunteers and you were all fab and it made my duty so easy, so a big thank you.”
Dean Castle Country Park parkrun started on August 31 this year. Since then 797 participants have completed 1,581 parkruns.
